Staying Safe – FREE refresher driving courses for the older driver
In association with Waka Kotahi (NZTA), Age Concern Kāpiti is delivering refresher driving courses for older drivers. All course materials and handbooks are provided.
Light refreshments are provided, please bring your own lunch.

Steady as You Go (SAYGo)
Classes consist of a combination of sitting, standing and walking exercises and run for about an hour. They are ideal for beginners, are ongoing and you can see how much you have improved over your first 10 weeks. New classes are established by one of our staff with the aim of becoming peer-led at the end of 10 weeks. Classes run in school terms only. Bookings are essential.

MenzShed Kāpiti
Our Shed is well equipped for woodworking projects as well as quite reasonable metalworking facilities. A garden group is also very active landscaping the site with retaining walls and raised garden beds with a good supply of produce being delivered to the local food bank. Most of the activities undertaken at the Shed are for the local community and community groups. There is also a small music group who will be looking forward to our new meeting facilities for their weekly jam sessions. Our building program is progressing well with our amenities block of toilets, kitchen and meeting room nearing completion.
